Schoontje de Vries was a daughter of Samuel de Vries and Jansje de Jager. She married in 1928 in Amsterdam and had the here mentioned daughter Eva with him. She lived with her family in Rijswijk, went from there in 1933 to Almelo, left in 1935 for Amsterdam, went to The Hague in 1936 and came back to Amsterdam in 1937. She divorced her first husband, who had the same name as her second husband, in 1938, after which she moved in with her parents again.
