Abraham Vaz Dias, who was called Bram by his friends, gave shortly before his deportation a portfolio to one of his friends, who lived opposite him in the Majubastraat. One night this family heard that Bram and a few other young men from nearby were leaving. His parents stayed back that night in the Majubastraat but they were later also deported.
