Rachel Sajet was a daughter of Levie Sajet and Mijntje Schellevis. She married 11 January 1911 in Amsterdam to Hijman Bierman, a son of Salomon Bierman and Vrouwtje Liest. The couple had two children, of whom one son has emigrated to South Africa before the war; the other daugher was married in 1942 but lived still at home: Mina Rachel.
Rachel was born in a family with ten children, of whom, besides herself, also four of her siblings, Abraham, Hanna, Eliazer and Salomon, have been killed during the Holocaust.
