David de Paauw was a son of Philip de Paauw and Marianne van de Kar. He married 12 March 1930 in Amsterdam to Sophie Heilbron, a daughter of Meijer Heilbron and Vogeltje Kapper.
David's two brothers and his sister, Samuel, Willem and Rebecca have been killed too during the Holocaust.
