Marie de Vries was a nurse at the Apeldoornse Bos. Her father W. de Vries died in Bloemendaal in 1934. Her mother remarried and survived the war, along with two children from her second marriage. Marie de Vries was taken away with the residents of the Apeldoornse Bos.
