Bertha Sylvia Lankhout was a daughter of Eduard Lankhout and Jeannette Sophia van den Bergh. She was married to Isidoor Mourits de Haas in 1916. Later she got married to another man.

Bertha Sylvia Lankhout was a granddaughter of the well-known shoe manufacturer and council member Maurits van den Bergh from Den Bosch. Her father Eduard Lankhout was a director of the shoe factory at the start of the twentieth century.
