Lena Hofman was a daughter of Levie Hofman and Flora Nordheim. She married on 25 September 1913 to Gerrit Brilleman, son of Joseph Brilleman and Branca Broekman, who passed away there on 15 January 1934. Gerrit Brilleman was a widower since May 1913 of Marianna Root, daughter of Abraham Root and Helena Nordheim.
Gerrit Brilleman and his first wife Marianna Root had only one son: Joseph and Gerrit and Helena had two children: Louis and Hartog, who died in January 1940, just 23 years old.
On 9 July 1941 Lena Hofman married again to Samson Waterman from London.
