About Sally Rosenbusch

Sally Rosenbusch was a teacher and taught in Viersen and Dinslaken, Germany. In 1890 he moved to Düsseldorf and became a merchant. He also owned a dry goods shop there.

Sally Rosenbusch was very active in the Jewish community in Düsseldorf. It happened more than once that only he and the rabbi were in attendance of a funeral. In the aftermath of the Kristallnacht Sally Rosenbusch led the service in the synagoge because the rabbi was held prisoner by the Nazi's.

In 1938 Sally Rosenbusch fled to Amsterdam. Untill 1943 he lived at the Noorder Amstellaan.
