Martin Wertheim was a student at the Higher Textile College in Enschede. After the Summer holiday of 1941, Jewish pupils were no longer given access to the school.
In the hall of the former Higher Textile College at the Ariënsplein, a plaque was mounted with the names of the teachers, students and former students who did not survive the war. It includes the name of Martin Wertheim.
