Rachel de Rosa was a daughter of Salomon Andries de Rosa and Margaretha Munnikendam. She married on 11 March 1900 in Zaandam to Jacob Kannegieter, who passed away on 7 December 1938 in Amsterdam and was buried at the Jewish Cemetery of Diemen.

In the archive of the Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung is a list with names of "employees" of the Jewish Council (Joodse Raad), who could be considered for a "Sperre". On this list, the name of Rachel Kannegieter-de Rosa occurred too.
