Hartog (Harry) Glasbeek, named after his grandfather Hartog Glasbeek, was the son of Jacob Glasbeek and Klara van Praag. Hartog went to the technical school and became a carpenter. In his spare time he was active in the Workers Sports Federation (athletics and handball).
