Bernard Gersons was married to Frederika Gomperts. He died on 13 April 1945 next to the railway in Lüneberg, where he was buried in a mass grave. After the war, his body was identified and reburied on 8 March 1961 in the military cemetery in Loenen (section E, plot 19).
