Erich Elkan arrived in Woerden from Kalkar on 21 January 1938. He settled at 9 Julianastraat. Erich Elkan, a German citizen, was a cattle dealer. He was unmarried. On 24 September 1942 he was deleted from the Woerden town register. Presumably, he went into hiding. On 3 July 1943 he arrived in Westerbork, from where he was sent to Sobibor on 6 July 1943, where he was killed on 9 July 1943.
