Hartog Schuitevoerder was a son of Marcus Schuitevoerder and Saartje Wegloop. He married Mijntje Baggers in Amsterdam on 6 July 1911, a daughter of Samuel Baggers and Roselina Jacobs.
His siblings, who also have been killed during the Holocaust were Louis, Mina, Rebecca and Lea.
His brothers Salomon and Jacob have passed away before the war and his sister Marianne might have surivived the Holocaust.
