Mozes Galewski was a son of Leib (Louis) Galewski and Beyli (Bella) Honikschtok from Lodz. He was a diamond merchant and later a merchant in haberdasheries. After he arrived in Antwerp on 4 April 1908, he got married to Mirjan Freimann, who was born in Pabianice (Poland). Moved on 11 February 1909 to Borgerhout where their daughter Bella was born on 3 November 1911.
In December 1917, Mozes Galewski arrived with his family in the Netherlands and settled in Rotterdam, where they resided since 1935 at Bergweg 157b.
