Keetje de Paauw-Soubice was the widow of Samuel de Paauw. Samuel, who was a diamond merchant, died in 1934. The couple had five children: Jacob (Jaap), Aron, Tobias (Toby), Griet and Rebecca. They all had families of their own, and were also murdered during the war. Keetje lived with her daughter Griet's family. As the deportations continued, she committed suicide, because she wanted to stay close to her husband. She is buried at the Jewish cemetery in Diemen.
