Hendeltje Dalsheim was the daughter of Daniel Benjamin Dalsmheim and Faaltje Feilchen David. Hendeltje married in 1922 to Filip de Levie, who died in 1929. Hendeltje lived near to her parents-in-law Mozes and Sophie de Levie.

The mayor of Nieuwe Pekela requested that Hendeltje Dalsheim, the widow of Filip de Levie, be located. She was suspected of having changed her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
