Anna Polak was a daughter of Meijer Polak and Mietje Vischjager. She married 25 June 1936 in Amsterdam Barend Dresden, a son of Abraham Dresden and Eva van Embden. The couple had one daughter who was born in 1937.
Anna self had five other siblings, of whom one baby-brother has died in 1902, only ten months old. The others, Aaltje, Klaartje, Raatje en Leentje. have been killed all in the Shoah.

Anna Polak competed in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. She won a gold medal in the women's gymnastics team event.
