Hayman Silvian Hertzdahl was the son of Karel Hertzdahl and Rosalie Souwiene. He was the director of NV Kleedingmagazijnen van Wolf & Hertzdahl, a chain of clothing shops in Germany and the Netherlands.
Hayman Silvain Hertzdahl was married. The couple had two children. His spous and their children survived the war.
