About Gerda Liselotte Hirsch-Reis

Gerda Liselotte Reis was a daughter of Julius Reis and Hedwig Helene Apfelbaum. She was born in Furth and married in Schweinfurt (Bavaria) on 5 February 1938 to Hans Werner Hirsch, a son of Suszman Hirsch and Sara Kaufman.

Gerda Liselotte and her husband Hans Werner Hirsch arrived on 11 Maart 1938 in Holland and they lived at Joubertstraat 201 in Gouda. On 26 September 1942 they ended up in Westerbork and two days later, on 28 September, they were deported to Auschwitz, where Gerda Liselotte has been killed upon arrival there on 1 October 1942. Her husband Hans Werner Hirsch eventually lost his life on 31 January 1942, or succumbed by hardships of by forced labor. Also her parents lived in Gouda at A.G. de Vrijestraat 18. They lost their lives eventually in Bergen Belsen.
