Jacob Koekoek was a son of Abraham Koekoek and Anna Koekoek-Van der Star. On 19 March 1922 Jacob Koekoek married in Amsterdam to Johanna Geertruij Cramer. The couple had three children: Johanna Geertruida, Anna and Abraham. The mother and her three children have all survived the Holocaust.
