Fritz Rosendahl was known as the 'Jewish peasant from Blaricum'. He was a chicken farmer. In Bussum and Naarden he came to the Jewish families at home and sold fresh chicken, eggs and butter. The eggs were always neatly arranged on a bed of hay in a wicker basket. He rode a bicycle with a wooden tank to carry his 'trade'. Rosendahl continued his profession until all residents had to move to Amsterdam in June 1942.
