Rosette Nathans was active in the Jewish community in Assen. She served on the first board of the Assen chapter of the Dutch Zionist league and was involved in the Zionist women's association for practical Palestine work.
Rosette Nathans was secretary to the supervisory committee for secondary education and trade schools and chairwoman of Kinderhulp, an association dedicated to raising neglected and abandoned children. In the 1930s she ran the Assen refugee committee.
