Elkan Roe owned a delicacy-shop at Pretoriusstraat 37 in Amsterdam. Especially his almond-cookies and mochabeans were popular among neighbourhood children. Because his shop was called 'Del Rio', Elkan Roe was also known as Mr. Del Rio.
