Abraham Pijpeman lived together with the family of his son Levie Pijpeman in the Nieuwstraat 52 in Apeldoorn. His son was imprisoned in one of the labour camps. The men in the labour camps were taken to Westerbork on 2 October 1942 and their families were taken out of their homes in the night of 2 to 3 October 1942 and also brought to Westerbork. Abraham too was taken away that night, together with his daughter-in-law Aaltje Pijpeman-Coster and his two grandsons Abraham and Coenraad.
