Joseph Kool was a son of Elias Kool and Elisabeth Elzas. He married 27 June 1916 in Amsterdam to Betje Kolm, a daughter of Mozes Kolm and Hanna Springer. Betje Kolm however passed away on 16 Juni 1919 and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
From this marriage no children have been born.
Joseph Kool married again on 21 July 1921 in Amsterdam to Debora Gazan, a daughter of Izaak Philippus Gazan and Adele van Dam. They had together four children: ((541901|Elie), who went to Den Haag and the here mentioned children Isaac, Salomon and Lion.
