Esther Polak was a daughter of Wolf Levi Polak and Rebekka Drees. She married in Amsterdam on 23 February 1898 to Mozes Waas, son of Asser Leman Juda Waas and Rachel Schouten. Mozes passed away in 1932. The couple had five children: Lehman, Wolf, Rachel, Levie and Betje.
