Benjamin Hijman was a son of Levie Hijman and Rachel Reens. He married 11 January 1923 in Amsterdam to Marianne Kool, a daughter of Elias Kool and Elisabeth Elzas.
The couple had five children: the here mentioned Roza, Elias, Liesje, Engeltje and Stella.
