Jacob Emanual was a son of Samuel Israel Emanuel and Rosa Brandon. He was married in Amsterdam on 3 November 1892 to Isabella Kan, a daughter of Izak Kan and Betje Bierschenk. In 1911 he lived with his family in Antwerp at Provinciestraat 291 and since 1919 he lived with his wife in Antwerp at Lange Kievitstraat 87. Toghether with his wife he had five children, among them his son Eduard, who also resided in Antwerp.
Jacob Emanuel was deported from Mechelen to Auschwitz with convoy 9, departing on 12 September 1942 and arriving at Auschwitz on 14 September 1942, where Jacob a few days later was killed.
