Abraham Simons was the fifth child of Mozes Simons and Kaatje de Sterke. He married in 1888 to Henriette Edersheim. They had three children. Abraham Simons was among other things director of the firm Esveha (wholesale in office accessories), president of the Dutch Zionist Organisation (1922-1924) and president of the Jewish community in The Hague (1919-1941).
