Born in Antwerp and studied music. Married Isaak van Heijningen, lived in The Hague, had four sons and was piano teacher. Her husband died from cancer during the war. She was captured by the Gestapo and transported to Auschwitz in 1944. Her sons all survived the war and worked for companies, such as KLM and Philips. They all married and there were eleven grandchildren. Her sons Charles (age 11 years) and Jan (as a baby in 1931) are shown in the photo.
