Jacob Visser was a son of Mozes Visser and Esther Hakker. He married 14 April 1910 in Groningen a non-Jewish woman, with whom he had a daughter in 1911. The marriage ended by divorce on 17 May 1918. Jacob Visser remarried eleven years later, on 11 September 1929 Adèle Leeuwin, a daughter of Hijman Leeuwin and Rachel de Smitt. Jacob and Adèle had no children together.
Adèle Leeuwin however was previously married on 1 February 1916 to a younger brother of Jacob, Jesaia Visser, who passed away on 7 July 1925 and who was interred in the Jewish Cemetery at Muiderberg. Adèle and Jesaia had one son together, born in 1917: Maurits, who married 16 July 1942 Sonja Josephina Diependaal a daughter of Kaatje Diependaal-Krant. Her father survived the war and got remarried after the war.
