The Willi Leopold family on liberationday, 8 May 1945 in Westbroek Holland.

Willi Leopold was the son of David II and Bertha Leopold and the brother of Ludwig Leopold. He was born in Bleichenbach, Germany on July 13, 1905. He married Irma Siesel and had one child, my mother, Doris Leopold, on April 6, 1935. In 1936, WIlli, Irma and Doris moved to Holland. They settled in Westbroek. In 1942 (?) they were sent to Westerbork Camp. They escaped and were on the run for 8 months until going into hiding in the home of the deGraf Family in Westbroek. They survived there until liberation. In 1946, they moved to the USA.
