Rachel Peeper was a daughter of Meijer Jesaias Peeper and Marianne Halverstad. She married 13 June 1906 in Amsterdam Abraham Kops, a son of Jacob Samuel Kops and Judik Jacob Speelman. The couple had three children: one daughter survived the Holocaust; one son passed away at age 28 in 1936 but their daughter Jette or Jetje has been killed in the Shoah.
Rachel Peeper was born into a family with six children. She had one brother, Isaac and four other sisters, of whom one sister had died in 1929. Her brother Isaac and the other sisters Alida, Debora and Judith have been killed in the Shoah.
