Keetje Barug was a daughter of Abraham Barug and Rachel Maarsen. She married 18 Januari 1923 in Amsterdam Marcus van Boele, a son of Abraham van Boele and Batseba Farro. They had two daughters together, Batseba en Rachel, who both at the same time with their mother were killed on 26 March 1943 in Sobibor Her husband Marcus van Boele however was already killed 6 months before in Auschwitz.
Keetje had a sister Anne who also has been killed during the Holocaust.
