Gerrit de Wolf was a son from the first marriage of his father Jacob de Wolf and Rebecca Blog. She passed away in 1932. Gerrit was unmarried and lived at home with his father and his 2nd wife Heintje Roeg at Valkenburgerstraat 75 II in Amsterdam.
Gerrit was born into a family of seven children. Two little brothers have died already, only 2 years old. The other family has been killed in the Shoah: His father Jacob, together with his wife Heintje Roeg have been killed in Auschwitz; his brothers Isaak and Samuel have been killed in 1941 in Mauthausen; his brother Mozes lost his life in 1943 in Auschwitz and he self and his brother Willem have been killed in in 1943 in Sobibor.
