Maurits Kosman, vendor of flowers, was a son of Barend Kosman and Leentje Pachter. He married 11 March 1931 in Amsterdam a non-Jewish woman, from whom he has been divorced by verdict of 28 November 1932 of the District Court of Amsterdam. On 10 April 1933 his daugher Johanna Maria was born, who continued to stay with her mother. After his divorce, Maurits lived again with his parents at the address Weesperstraat 46 downfloor. He was killed in Sobibor on 4 June 19453.
Maurits was born into a family with six children. His siblings Betsie and Gerhard have survived the Holocaust. However nog his brother Michel and his sisters Duifje and Evalina: they too have been killed in the Shoah.
