Joseph Israel, a son of Bejamin Israel and Esther Kran, married 29 November 1930 in Rotterdam Naatje Trijtel, a daugher of Abraham Trijtel and Helena Hertog. Together they had four children, of whom the latter, a son, has been stillborn in 1936. Their other children were Esther (1931), Helena (1933) and Ali (1935). The marriage between Joseph and Naatje did not last and on 23 December 1935 they have been divorced in Rotterdam. On 29 June 1944, Joseph was registered in transit camp Westerbork, where he stayed in barack 67. On 3 September 1944 he was deported "Eastwards" and he has been killed eventually somewhere in Mid Europe on 15 March 1945.
