Anna Bartels was a daughter of Alexander Bartels and Margaretha van der Glas. Her parents, who were married in Zaandam in 1912, divorced in 1930. Anna has been sent to Camp Westerbork on 3 Juli 1943 and stayed in barack 65, till she was deported to Sobibor on 6 Juli. She has been killed immediately upon arrival there on 9 July 1943. Her mother and sister Elsa were killed there already three weeks earlier.
