On 2 August 1942, all family members of the Verduin family were registered by the Jewish Council. She was a lampshade maker by trade and according other data from the City Archive of Amsterdam she was also a sewing machine stitcher.

One week later, on 6 August 1942, Simona was arrested, taken from her home and already the next day, 7 August 1942 put on transport to Auschwitz. Eventually she lost her life there on 30 September 1942.
