Mirte Kaufman, daughter of Moise Kaufman and Rosa Fischman, arrived 1931 from Cluj in Romania to Amsterdam, lived at various addresses and 11 November eventually she resided at 2e Boerhavestraat 40 down floor in Amsterdam.
17 June 1942 she married in Amsterdam Isaac van Gelderen from Rotterdam, an insurance agent and son of Gabriel van Gelderen and Flora Harpman. Also her husband moved from Noordsingel 210a in Rotterdam to 2e Boerhavestraat 40 down floor in Amsterdam.
A note at her registration card from the Archive of the Jewish Council shows that she was “exempted from deportation according list nr. 4”, however, 19 October 1942 she was deported to Auschwitz where upon arrival there 22 October 1942 she was immediately killed. Her husband Isaac van Gelderen lost his life in Camp Amersfoort 3 November 1942.
