Lodewijk Boeki was a son of Azor Boeki and Johanna Bronkhorst. 26 May 1921 he married in Anderlecht (B) Sarah Nort, born in Anderlecht in 1902, a daughter of Salomon Nort (born in ‘s-Hertogenbosch - NL) and Regina Baruch from Rheinbach (Germany). In Anderlecht three of their five children were born: Arthur, Regina and Jacques.
19 August 1930 Lodewijk, Sarah and their three children arrived from Anderlecht in Rotterdam and lived at Veemarktstraat 11 b and in 1934 at 22b. There another two children were born: Johanna and Salomon. In May 1937, the family moved to Oosterstraat 15c ** in Rotterdam and 13 November 1940 the family moved from Rotterdam to Amsterdam, Valkenburgerstraat 17 3rd stock.
Lodewijk Boeki, his wife Sara North and the two youngest children Johanna and Salomon werd deported from Amsterdam to Camp Westerbork 3 October 1942 and two days later, 5 October 1942 *** put on transport to Auschwitz. Among the 550 Jews who were selected in Kozel for forced labor in the surrounding camps of Auschwitz, was also Lodewijk Boeki. He lost his life eventually 21 January 1945 in camp Blechhammer.
His wife Sara Nort and his children Johanna and Salomon arrived in Auschwitz 8 October 1942 where they were immediately killed that same day.
The other children, Arthur, Regina and Jacques Boeki were already deported from Amsterdam to Camp Westerbork 17 July 1942 and from there put on transport to Auschwitz 21 July 1942. They all had to do hard labor before they were killed there. Their date of death in Auschwitz is established as 30 September 1942.

** City Archive of Rotterdam: the location of Oosterstraat near the eastern part of Goudsesingel, then named Oostsingel, has defined the name. Before the bombardment in May 1940, this street leads from Lange Warande to Goudsesingel. By decision of Mayor and Aldermen 28 January 1949, the name of this street was revoked.
*** From the list of Jew-transports: the transport of 5 October 1942 to Auschwitz included 2012 deportees and was the first of 10.000 persons from the Jewish work-camps. 550 Jewish prisoners forcedly had to leave the train at Kozel.
