Willem Wagenhuizen was a son of David Wagenhuizen and Cecilia Jacobs. He was a radio technician and not married. Willem still lived at home with his parents at Tilanusstraat 36 1st floor in Amsterdam. He reported himself voluntary for the so-called "creation of employment" as orderd by the nazis and arrived 17 August 1942 in Westerbork, where he hasn't been registerred. That same day Willem was put on transport to Auschwitz, and on arrival there on 20 August 1942 he was put to work as forced laborer. It is not known on which date exactly Willem Wagenhuizen lost his life there. His official date of death is therefore established as 30 September 1942 in Auschwitz.
