Michel Beetz, a son of Jacob Beetz and Heintje Polak, married 14 March 1912 in Amsterdam Sara Witmond, a daughter of Aäron Witmond and Mary Witmond. (both parents born in London but died in Amsterdam).The couple had only one son, Jacob, born 12 January 1913 in Amsterdam.
On 25 October 1916 the family moved from Rotterdam to Van Oldebarneveldstraat 119 in Rotterdam and per 3 Sepember 1929, they moved to Tollenstraat 83a in that city, where, after the wedding of their son Jacob on 19 October 1939, his bride Sara van Creveld came living in. Sara’s unmarried brother Michel Witmond, lived already in with them since 11 March 1927, at first at Van Oldenbarneveldstraat and later he moved with the family to Tollenstraat.
Michel Beetz and his wife Sara Witmond were taken from their home address Tollenstraat 83a to Westerbork on 10 April 1943 where they had to stay in barrack 57. On 20 April they were put on transport to Sobibor where on arrival there 23 April 1943, both were immediately killed.
