About Joseph Wolf.

Joseph Wolf was a son from the 1st marriage of David Wolf. He was a cabinet maker and porter at the Rotterdamse Bank. His mother, Sara Sons passed away at the age of 41 in Den Haag on 26 July 1879.

Joseph married 27 February 1901 in Den Haag Naatje Poons, a daughter of Emanuel Abraham Poons and Hester Lors. The couple had five children, namely David in 1901, Hester in 1903, Sara in 1905, Adèle and Abraham in 1909. Of Joseph’s and Naatje’s children David and Abraham were killed in the Shoah.

Naatje Poons passed away 17 May 1939 in Den Haag. As a widower he went living in with Machiel Izaäk Walg and his wife Elisabeth van Straten at Repelaerstraat 40 in Den Haag. In June 1943 he was locked in at Westerbork in barrack 97 and deported to Sobibor on 29 June. On arrival there on 2 July 1943, Joseph Wolf was immediately killed.
