The 6th convoy of 27 August 1942 consisted of 1000 persons, including 179 children. The convoy was assembled from 19 August, when the previous convoy (the 5th) was not yet completed. The 6th convoy, which was completed on 27 August 1942, was mainly formed with people called up, who were present in the collection camp of Kazerne Dossin. Only 195 registered persons to be deported of the list were forcibly brought in.
The 6th convoy arrived in Auschwitz on 30 August 1942, it was the first convoy from Belgium, where the men older than 15 and younger than 50 years were forced to leave the train in Cosel. There are a maximum of 280. After this selection, no deportees may enter the Auschwitz camp. 720 deportees - all women - were immediately killed. The only survivors of this transport are 34 "Kozelingen". No one was registered in the camp.
