Jopie never had a Stolpersteiner since his birth certificate can’t be found. He spent some months with his mother (Reneé Maschke, born Roos), and grandmother (Olga Roos, born Wittgensteiner) in Westerbork (before he was deported to Sobibor, together with his mother, on 23 March 1943. He was killed upon arrival three days later.
