Jacob Bierschenk was the 2nd child and eldest son of Benedictus Bierschenk and Rika Cosman. He was born 8 July 1912 in Rotterdam and was a fruiterer by profession. On 27 May 1936 he married in Rotterdam the Non-Jewish Nelly Corino, a daughter of Jacob Corino and Willemina van Driel and he had with her two children, namely Rika in 1937 and Willemina Martina in 1938.
After their marriage, Jacob and Nelly lived since August 1938 at the address Boomstraat 45, but the moved already two months later to Strijensestraat 58 in the Fijenoord District and in 1938 to Wapenstraat 39b, also in Rotterdam-Fijenoord.
Despite the mandatory registration of the Jews in the Netherlands, per 10 January 1941 also obligatory in Rotterdam, no registration card of Jacob Bierschenk was found in the file cabinet of the Jewish Council. Jacob Bierschenk passed away 8 November 1943 in Rotterdam and as far as known he was not interred in the Jewish Cemetery Toepad of Rotterdam.
