About Mozes Bloemhof, his wife Sippora Wertheim and their two sons.

Mozes Bloemhof, born on 24 November 24 1888 in Amsterdam, was a son of Salomon Abraham Bloemhof and Roosje Ossendrijver. His mother Roosje died in Amsterdam on 25 August 1909 at the age of 55, after which his father entered a second marriage on 12 January 1911 to Anna Vleeskruijer, a daughter of Leendert Wolf Vleeskruijer and Judic Klerk.

From his father's first marriage, Moses had three sisters, namely Cato, Judith and Reintje, From the second marriage of his father he got two more sisters, namely Judic and Johanna. All were killed with their families during the Shoah.

Mozes Bloemhof married in Amsterdam on 6 March 1912 to his first cousin Sippora Wertheim, a daughter of Levie Wertheim and Henriette Bloemhof. The couple had two sons, namely Salomon in 1912, who was called Sal and Louis in 1916. The entire family was murdered during the Shoah.

After his marriage, Mozes lived with his wife Roosje in the Vrolikstraat 226 III in Amsterdam. Both their children were born there. On 27 August 1929 the family moved to Plantage Middenlaan 32 I, which also turned out to be their last known address in Amsterdam.

Both their sons, Salomon (Sal) and Louis, lived at home with their parents. However, Sal married Roza (Ro) Agstteribbe on 29 February 1940 and then moved with his wife to their own address at Kribbestraat 26 I in Amsterdam South. Sal was killed in Sobibor on 7 May 1943. His wife Ro survived the Holocaust.

Their 26-year-old son Louis was still unmarried when he was registered on 14 July 1942 in Westerbork. On July 21 he was deported to Auschwitz, employed as a forced laborer, and killed there. His date of death is set as on 30 September 1942 in Auschwitz.

Moses' wife Sippora Wertheim was deported on 26 January 1943 in Westerbork and locked in the penal barrack 67, whereby it was not clear for which offense she would have been arrested. Despite her stay in the penal barrack 67, Sippora was not deported as a “penal case”, but she was put on transport to Sobibor on 4 May 1943 as an "ordinary prisoner" together with her son Salomon (Sal) Bloemhof, and on arrival there on 7 May 1943, she and her son were immediately killed

The personal card or archive card of Mozes Bloemhof from the Amsterdam archive states that Mozes was registered as V.O.W on 11 October 1944 in the Population Register. (Departed Unknown Where To), which usually meant that the person concerned had already gone into hiding at an earlier moment. Possibly because of treason or otherwise he was arrested and brought into Westerbork on 12 July 1944 and locked in the penal barrack 67. On 3 September 1944, Mozes Bloemhof and 1018 others were deported with the last transport from Westerbork to Auschwitz and immediately killed there on arrival on 6 September 1944.
