Aron Salomon Kannewasser married 11 Februari 1913 in Den Helder to Jacobmina Oudkerk, a daughter of Benjamin Oudkerk and Klaartje van Tijn. As far as has been researched, Aron and Jacomina had no children.
Aron and Jacomina lived at Kanaalweg 161 in Den Helder, where he runned his business as draper. On 23 December 1943 they were forced to move from Den Helder to Amsterdam, where they ended up living in with Groenheim at Sarphatistraat 107 2nd floor. Up from August 1942, the Germans had renamed Sarphatistraat into Muiderschans as streets, named after Jews were not allowed anymore.
On 23 February 1943 both were taken to Westerbork and temporarily accommodated in barrack 55. On 2 March they were deported with the first transport to the still unknown extermination camp Sobibor. This transport contained 1105 deportees who were all immediately killed on arrival there on 5 March 1943. Also Aron Salomon Kannewasser and his wife Jacomina Oudkerk lost their lives there on that day.
